doris norton began her musical carreer playing avant-garde and progressive music with a roland system 700 and a minimoog synthesizer containing special effects. since the 1970s she has been active as a member of jacula and antonius rex. in 1980 she recorded her first solo album entitled "under ground", followed by "parapsycho" and "raptus" in 1981, "nortoncomputerforpeace" in 1983, "personal computer" in 1984, and "artificial intelligence" in 1985. she was sponsored by apple computer and the roland corporation at the time.
